Features, main components, advantages and disadvantages of microservice architecture are presented in this paper. The function of the component used to control the inbound traffic in the microservice ecosystem is explained. An extension implementation that allows direct manipulation of routes and filters of this component is described. A real system that supports this extension has been subjected to performance tests when performing route manipulation operations. Test results are presented as well as possible directions for further development of this solution.
