This paper presents technical aspects related to the Geoportal development, standards, and regulations applied in spatial data management, as well as the concepts of 3D visualization of cities. As part of the case study, visualization of spatial data was made using the Leaflet and MapBox JavaScript libraries, where the MapBox library was used for 3D visualization of cities, while Leaflet was used for 2D visualization of vector data. 3D visualization of points cloud created by terrestrial laser scanning of the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad was performed. All of these data are integrated into one web application that simulates Geoportal. The application was implemented using the free software: Django with GeoDjango, PostgreSQL extension with PostGIS and RESTful web services.
