Abstract

The goal of this paper is to investigate and establish the basis for fatigue analysis of composite materials using simulation. At the very beginning of the paper, the theoretical foundations  in the field of composite materials and fatigue behavior are given. After that, using the Autodesk Inventor Nastran software package, a detailed description of the creation of laminar composites as well as a fatigue analysis setup in the software is presented. At the end of last chapter, where fatigue behavior of the conveyor belt is analyzed, a clear picture of the advantages and current disadvantages of the softwer is obtained. Also the possible directions of further research.
