Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the process of creating and managing project data during the project development process. BIM does not “perceive” an object as a simple drawing; the operation of this software is based on complete and detailed modeling of the object with the ability to automatically register any changes in the spatial model in the basics and sections. Through the research in this paper we have come to the picture of how much BIM software is represented in Serbia. We can conclude that the implementation of BIM software in Serbia has been started, but not nearly finished. Only individuals are fully committed to the way they are built in the BIM environment and they encounter obstacles due to collaboration with others unfamiliar with this software. It is very important that engineers take an independent interest in and train themselves to work in this software. Hopefully, with their interest and actions, they will encourage business leaders to turn to innovations in the technology of the construction industry.
