A new type of synchronous machine modeling is presented in this paper. Initially, a general theory of machine modeling was derived, and then extended to the case of machine modeling in the form of the so-called. VBR winding. The advantages and disadvantages of this approach in relation to the traditional QD representation of synchronous machines are explained, and then the model is extended to include magnetic saturation of the machine. After deriving the equations in detail, the machine model was written in programming language and implemented in the "Typhoon HIL control center" software library. The model was tested in detail in the conditions of steady state, dynamic processes and saturation areas using analytical formulas and software environment "ANSYS Maxwell".
