This paper presents the project of reinforced concrete structure of a multi-storey residential building (B+Gf+9), according to European standards for structures. Relevant actions on the structure are analysed, characteristic elements are designed and their reinforce–ment details are presented in this paper. The structure is designed for medium ductility class. The design requirements for ductile walls and primary seismic columns, designed for medium and high ductility class, defined by Eurocode 8, are analysed. The characteristic wall of the structure is design for medium ductility class while the characteristic columns are designed for both ductility classes. The results in the form of steel reinforcement are compared with the amounts required by the domestic regulations.
