STUDY TRANSFORMATION OF THE ATRIUM OF THE MUSEUM OF VOJVODINA IN NOVI SAD

Abstract

The research topic, as well as the task of the master's thesis, is based on scientific research work on the example of the transformation of the atrium of the Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad. The paper focuses on the topic of urban environment and atrium as an inseparable element of the same, how the city and atrium spaces are connected, how such spaces are formed, and what is the impact on urban users, are some of the key topics of the master's thesis. The paper approximates the retrospective of the origin of the atrium from its origin in the time of ancient Greece, until today. The paper looks at the design task of transforming the atrium of the Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, with an example of three ideas how the space could be improved, in order to achieve a better connection between the atrium space and its users.
