Abstract

Simply put, the LEAN concept can be used wherever there is a process - in activities performed by people using certain resources. As Lean has become more prevalent in companies and factories, great advances in the industry can be noticed. Therefore, the application of  tools which are defined to idfentify the root cause of some problem is increasingly represented and it contributes to productivity and flexibility of production, which results in better organization of the company and higher profits. Accordingly, the primary goal of maintaining production equipment is to ensure its safe and efficient condition so that production goals can be met within the planned time, cost and quality, but firstly the knowledge of the real cause of the problem is needed.
