Abstract

When performing medical work and handling medical instruments, workers are exposed to potentially dangerous risks. Three job positions were analyzed in the research: nurse, dental nurse and laboratory technician. The research is based on the examination of risk assessment using the Kinney method, where the focus is on the analysis of the most dangerous risks, namely: chemical and biological hazards, efforts and physical stresses, non-physiological body position and the possibility of hitting equipment during emergency interventions. Data collection was carried out using the method of oral interviewing of employees in the above-mentioned positions. The paper proposes methods and measures aimed at eliminating, reducing or preventing risks.
