MIXED-USE COMPLEX IN THE CENTER OF NOVI SAD

The topic of revitalization of the historical core of the city is causing increasing interest in the academic community, as well as the public. Citizens feel that they have the right to ask about their space in the settlement. Contemporary interpretations say that renovations should be focused on the interests and demands of everyday users of urban space. Developing cities, such as Novi Sad, must face this issue. In this connection, a plot of land in the city center behind the Serbian National Theater was considered. The location, user needs, relevant literature were analyzed and the project of a mixed-use complex that would be located in that space was presented. Current problems and possible solutions that meet the needs of all parties involved in such a project are presented.
