Abstract

This paper provides insight into the basic characteristics and types of medical waste, as well as its treatment and management at Đorđe Joanović Hospital in Zrenjanin. The paper presents data on the treatment of infectious medical waste (TIM) in autoclaves from 2019 to 2023 and describes the detailed process from collection and temporary storage to sterilization in autoclaves and final disposal.
