Abstract
By studying the cultural and social life of the citizens of Novi Sad, it was concluded that there is a lack of public spaces that would represent a gathering place for reading, primarily, but also for other educational activities that would enrich the community and bring together different generations within it. The goal is to design a closed-type space that would be multifunctional, lively, and at the same time provide peace for both reading and creative activities, as well as a space that would provide contact with nature. The method is to design a building that consists of segments depending on the program, between which there is an open space for staying in the fresh air. The result is an inspiring, frequent reading room that can be used throughout the year, with vertical gardens emphasizing the beauty of each season. To create harmony between the spiritual and intellectual life of citizens, both within themselves and with the
community to which they belong, and the nature of which they are undoubtedly a part. Pointing out the importance of each of the aforementioned elements and their mutual connection.
