EVALUATION MEASURES FOR IMPROVING TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON THE INTERSECTION

Abstract

Within the work, the analysis of traffic flow characteristics was performed at the analyzed crossroads of Sentandrejski put - Teodor Mandić, Partisan Detachment in Novi Sad. With the use of engineering tools, the level of service and time losses for the current situation are determined. After that, the optimization of the signal plans was made and the result was a significant reduction of time losses and improvement of the level of service. Functional and economic valuation has shown that the proposed optimization would significantly influence the cost reduction.
