The topic of this paper covers the analysis and importance of designing gaps in road construction, as well as evaluating their condition and maintaining gaps in functional condition. The work consists of two parts, the first part deals with the design and construction of culverts, their importance and characteristics, their division by purpose and hydraulic characteristics, hydraulic - hydrological sizing of culverts, culverts for culvert design, culvert design, culvert design, reinforcement of culverts, foundation and drainage culverts and static culverts. The second part presents an analysis of the current situation and proposes remedial measures.
