SMART GRID REALISATION AND DISTRIBUTED GENERATORS

This paper describes the idea of a smart grid, with all its advantages and disadvantages. The comparison of the existing electricity system with the "smart" one was made. Special attention is paid to the presence of renewable energy sources in the world and in Serbia, as well as the tendency towards their maximum utilization. A smart distribution system was introduced with the roles of distributed generators in it. The paper also presents protection in distribution networks, as well as an analysis of the influence of distributed generators on the operation of relay protection, the level of short circuit current and the reliability of the power supply. The obtained results are presented in tables and diagrams
