The paper presents the development of DNP3 outstation on HIL devices (hardware-in-the-loop). Development of graphical interface for configuration of DNP3 parameters, features and characteristics of DNP3 protocol, level of functionality implemented in Typhoon HIL software environment, check for proper operation, testing results and analysis of DNP3 packets are described.
