Abstract

The aim of this paper is to investigate the impact of a leader's characteristics on employee engagement. What are the characteristics of leaders that influence employee engagement? The problem of this research may also be posed by this question: Is there an association between intensity of employee engagement and intensity of certain leadership characteristics, observed across the sample, and then taking into account sociodemographic variables such as gender, age, length of service and position in the organization?
