Abstract

Accessible public spaces are the axis of creating a healthy social system. By applying the principles of the universal design in public areas, the integration of all groups of citizens into society is achieved avoiding discrimination on any level. The subject of the research is placed in the context of a modern man and the changes that have taken place in all aspects of life, leaving a significant impact on the daily functioning of the population. The thesis focuses on the adaptation of urban elements, encompassing the different needs, possibilities and habits of a modern man, in order to provide conditions for the creation of an inclusive society without discrimination.
