THE SIGNIFIENCE OF THE E – GOVERNMENT SYSTEM FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE

Abstract

In the first part of the paper, the theoretical foundations of information and communication technologies are given, and the concept and significance of these technologies are explained in more detail, in order to understand how modern society as a whole is used. Also, in the first part of the paper, we talk about the application of information and communication technologies in the business of the state administration, but we also learn more about the Internet portal of the state administration of the Republic of Serbia. The second part of the paper is dedicated to the conceptual definition of the health system, with special reference to the Covid - 19 virus, which has greatly contributed to the creation of new services on the eGovernment portal and interested citizens in using it. The third part of the paper explains the term Social Protection, as well as indicators that use the social development of the Republic of Serbia, namely poverty, unemployment, education, health and social protection. The fourth and last part of the paper is dedicated to digitalization of the health and social protection sector. It also provides an analysis of the e-government system in the field of health and social protection, but also provides a special overview of the services provided by government agencies on the eGovernment portal.
