Abstract

Agile software development takes place in cooperation between self-organizing, multifunctional teams. Therefore, agile teams depend to a large extent on effective communication, taking responsibility, initiative, time management and leadership. Scrum is one of the most popular agile approaches that is primarily based on a multifunctional team and the ability of all members to do multiple different jobs. In order for these jobs to be arranged in the right way, for the whole team to function as a whole, to be highly productive and in the end to successfully create a product and complete the project, the above-mentioned skills are very important. One, however, stands out and all the others can derive from it. That skill is communication. The research in this paper was conducted in seven Scrum teams with the aim of researching the importance of communication in the Scrum framework and whether regular communication can affect the final outcome of the project.
