Within this master's thesis, the theoretical background in the field of ERP systems are introduced, as well as practical design techniques in the domain of conceptual design development for a finance and accounting module as an integral part of an ERP system. Through an extensive analysis of user needs, peculiarities of accounting processes, the legislative framework, and current regulations in this sector, a module is presented that optimizes and integrates pivotal financial operations. Particular emphasis is placed on the user interface, aiming for simplicity, intuitiveness, and efficiency. The outcome is an innovative ERP module that helps organizations in enhancing both their financial operations and overall business practices.
