Abstract

In a global environment characterized by rapid technological advancements, automation, digitalization, and emerging economic and social challenges such as climate change, pandemics, and demographic shifts, it is crucial for individuals to acquire appropriate competencies. To facilitate the transition to a new digital (and green) economy, significant investments in human resources are necessary to support social programs. The emergence of new, essential educational professionals required for growth and development will only occur within a high-quality educational system. The quality of the educational system is influenced by the educational workforce, and to extract the maximum benefit, motivated, skilled, and innovative educators are required. The teaching staff has never faced a more demanding situation; with low compensation, inadequate motivation of students, and intense public pressure being factors that can create an unhealthy work environment, a stressful atmosphere negatively affecting work motivation. As human resources have become the most expensive asset of any organization, and since work motivation is a significant factor in maintaining employee satisfaction, it is essential to identify factors that negatively affect employee motivation to establish a healthy work environment.
