Abstract

This paper deals with modern microprocessor protection devices whose function is the protection of electric motors as the most commonly used electric machine in the electric power system. The aim is to show the benefits and various benefits of applying this kind of protection that enables reliability, detailed analysis and predicting dangerous states in order to prevent it. Considerations have been made on the use of the „Sepam M61“ protective device for the protection of electric motors.
