ANALYSIS OF THE POSSIBILITY OF FIRE OCCURRENCE IN HAZARDOUS WASTE STORAGE FACILITIES – THE EXAMPLE OF LTD HIGIA IN SREMSKA MITROVICA

The subject of this paper is the analysis of the possibility of fire occurence in hazardous waste storage facilities on the example of a Higia ltd hazardous waste storage facility in Sremska Mitrovica. Determination of fire risk is done by developing a Fire Protection Plan and assessing the fire risk. The fire risk assessment is aimed at preventing the occurence of fires and saving people and material assets, it determines the organization, measures and activities related to the improvement of fire protection in the facility. Based on the risk assesment, a proposal is made for measures to elimanate or reduce the risk to an acceptable level.
