Abstract

This paper describes the design and development process of a multi-channel electrophysiological signals generator based on LabVIEW programming environment and its associated data acquisition measurement cards (DAQmx). Special attention is paid to the reconstruction of realistic non-invasive signals in terms of maternal and fetal cardiac and uterine electrical activity. Main concern was to build a functional prototype that is able to generate and module synthetical signal in real-time without any losses of the signal’s quality, which ultimately can produce a contribution to the development of new diagnostic methods.
