ASSESSMENT, REHABILITATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF THE BUILDING OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ''ŽARKO ZRENJANIN - UČA'' IN NADALJ

This paper consists of two independent parts. The first part of the paper is theoretical & research section related to „Passive houses”, which describes the very concept of passive houses, designing new buildings and renovating existing buildings to a passive standard. The second part of the paper provides a technical description of the elementary school building. A visual macroscopic inspection of the building condition was performed in order to determine the current state of the building. Energy efficiency calculation has been done. Based on this calculation and visual inspection of the structure, the adequate measures for increasing the durability and energy efficiency of this building are given, as well as its compliance with the Energy Efficiency Building Codes.
