Abstract

The construction of new buildings changes the microclimate in its environment. Wind speed is a dominant factor and needs to be considered in a situation like this. It can have a huge negative impact on pedestrians. Research is conducted on an urban block in Novi Sad, which is in the process of urbanization. Wind Velocities were obtained from computational fluid dynamics simulation and used in analyzing pedestrian comfort. The aim of the research is to improve the external thermal comfort and the mechanical comfort of the wind depending on the activity of individuals.
