This paper analyzes the concept of project co-financing of mass media. Project co-financing is not a subsidy to the media, but an obligation of the state to assist reporting on topics of public interest. At the same time, it is the obligation of the media to design the project - from topic, through realization, to final reporting. In the research part of the paper, a proposal for a media project was stated according to the given tender documentation, on the case of series of shows on current environmental topics in the Municipality of Zabalj, which are to be realized by local radio.
