The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the concept and types of distributed energy resources, as well as the terms "Non-wires alternatives" and "Smart Grid" concept. Practical work has demonstrated the impact of these resources on оverloading in distribution networks by using a commercial software solution for controlling and managing the distribution network. In addition, the cost-benefit analysis of the selected solution was performed and the results obtained were analyzed.
