THE INFLUENCE OF SAFE DESIGN ON PRODUCT SAFETY

Abstract
The paper defines the terms: product, safe product, dangerous product, deceptive product, design and safe design. Beside that, in paper is shown an insight into the field of prevention through design and responsibility for the product. It also shows the benefits and importance of safe design, as well as the principles, issued by the Australian government, for the implementation of safe design. In addition to the principles issued by the Australian Government, two randomly published principles published by American design specialists are presented and an example of good practice for setting up air conditioning systems.
