Abstract

This paper presents differences between parameters of single-cage and double-cage rotors of induction motors. Analytical calculations for the mentioned two types of motors were conducted, as well as the graphical representation of obtained results. A comparative analysis of obtained results was performed, in order to present the influence of rotor construction on the performance, in accordance with the change in slots shapes. The advantages and disadvantages of the two types of rotors are presented, as well as their application.
