YOUTH ACTIVISM IN THE SERVICE OF REVITALISATION OF RURAL AREA OF VOJVODINA WITH VRBAS MUNICIPALITY AS AN EXAMPLE

Abstract

In the light of the decades-long devastation of Vojvodina's village, the paper seeks to identify the causes and consequences of this state, as well as to actualize the problem of rural areas. The youth is recognized as the target group, and their departure to the cities as the primary contemporary problem of rural settlements. Assuming that a small change can play role of a catalyst, a mechanism, based on creating conditions for engaging in youth activism, has been devised. Youth offices are recognized as key actors in youth policy at the local level, so the mechanism proposes to expand their interested field to villages- emerging in the design of the mobile office The Reactor. Admissible entities from all sectors have been identified. Through an interest partnership, these entities invest resources for the realization of the project. The paper presented the application of the mechanism in the municipality of Vrbas, emphasizing the universality and possibility of its application in every single municipality of Vojvodina.
