This paper presents a historical overview of the development as well as the basic principles and characteristics of the Lean management system, with a review of the application of the Lean principle in the service sector. Certain Lean tools were also considered, such as: Just In Time (JIT), Kanban, Jidoka, Kaizen. The paper describes the implementation of the 5S method in the art warehouse (depot) of the Cultural Center „Lukijan Musicki“ from Temerin. The problems that appear in the functioning of the institution and its organization are discussed in detail, problematic segments are identified, the organization itself and employees are prepared for changes, and the concrete application of the 5C method with all its steps is applied. Each step of the 5S method is analyzed in detail and implemented in order to achieve the best possible final results.
