Abstract

This document presents the basic principles of relay protection. The basic protection functions used in the protection of elecrtical networks are listed and described. One type of microprocessor relay is used as an example and its protective functions are explained. These functions are tested with an appropriate testing tool and a comparative analysis of the feedback in both the relay and the test tool, certain conclusions were obtained.
