THE RESEARCH ON THE APPLICATION OF SMED TOOL IN FKL FACTORY

Abstract

The Lean concept can be used to identify and eliminate waste in any activity carried out within the ministry, state administration, local government, education, health care or in any other production and service activities. In other words, the Lean concept can be used wherever there is a process - in activities performed by people using certain resources. As Lean has become more prevalent in companies and factories, great industrial advances can be noticed. The application of SMED tools is increasingly represented and it contributes to productivity and flexibility of production, which results in better organization of the company and higher profits. Widespread application of SMED and other Lean tools, in diverse industry branches, would certainly help in greater economy growth in Serbia.
