Abstract

This document presents the basic principles of relay protection of power transformers. The basic protection functions used in the protection of power transformers are listed and described. One type of microprocessor relay and one secondary injection tool are used in test setup. Based on comparative analysis of the feedback in both the relay and the test tool obtained during practical tests, certain conclusions were presented.
