MAIN CHARACTERISTICS AND COMPONENTS OF THE WIND POWER PLANT IN SOUTHEAST BANAT

Abstract

The paper discusses the application of wind energy to obtain electricity. The principles of operation of wind generators and wind power plants are presented. The project of a wind farm in southeastern Banat is described and the assessment of wind energy levels in that area is performed. Based on the data of wind speed measurements at 60 m height, calculations were made for the formation of a wind farm with turbines of 3 MW with a hub height of 110 m. The power and production of such a wind farm were analyzed and appropriate comparisons were made.
