In this paper examines the possibilities of using a photovoltaic power plant as a clean energy technology as well as carbon dioxide emissions during the production, construction, dismantling and recycling of photovoltaic power plant elements. The analysis was performed on the example of a photovoltaic power plant at home with a power of 22.7 kW, and the analysis includes: CO2 emissions from electricity production from the photovoltaic power plant of the existing facility and CO2 emissions from conventional energy sources thermal power plants. The test included photovoltaic panels, inverter, construction, AC and DC equipment. When calculating the emission, the transport of all parts to the power plant was taken into account, as well as the transport to the recycling site, but also the amount of electricity consumed during the assembly and disassembly of all parts of the photovoltaic power plant.
