Data literacy is becoming an increasingly sought-after skill in the modern labor market. Along with their importance for e-business, there is also an obvious mismatch in terms of these competencies between the business and academic worlds. This paper aims to highlight the needs and shortcomings in terms of competence to work with data, as a critical factor in the business of modern companies.
