Abstract

The paper presents fire safety regulations and fire problem analysis in hotels. A comparative analysis of regulations in the field of fire protection for hotels in the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Croatia, was done, which lead to the conclusion that Croatian regulations are more demanding than Serbian. Fire safety analysis of the "Stari Krovovi" hotel, based on Serbian regulations was done: the fire risk of the hotel is at acceptable level.  The evacuation time obtained by the hand calculation and the software method are both within the limits allowed by the regulations.
