ANALYSIS OF CATASTROPHIC EVENTS IN 2017. AND THEIR IMPACT ON INSURANCE

Abstract

Catastrophic events every year cause a large number of material damage, resulting in a large number of human casualties and very negatively affecting the economy of countries. In order to classify an event as catastrophic it is necessary that certain parameters reach a certain value. Parameters taken into account when assessing whether an event is catastrophic are insured receivables, total losses and the number of victims.
