Digital signatures and their role in blockchain technology
Abstract
Digital signature has become one of the most important and broadly used contemporary cryptographic tools. Its main purpose is to verify the identity of the sender of the document, as well as to provide evidence that the original content of the sent message is unchanged. This paper describes the origin and basic principles of digital signatures, as well as their application in blockchain technology.
