Abstract

Industrial variable frequency drive performance at reduced or increased supply voltage by 10 % and 20 % is presented in this paper. A practical test was conducted on two mechanically coupled induction machines powered by two variable frequency drives. The variable frequency drive whose performance is being tested is Danfoss FC302, and the drive whose role is to supply the second machine is ABB ACS880. DC bus supply voltage for the tested drive is provided by the Cinergia B2C+. Operation of the drive was conducted for different control principles, U/f, VVC+, and vector control principle.
