The paper will analyze the planning system in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) as a whole, but also at the level of entities and municipalities. In the case of the Federation of BiH, in addition to the entity and municipal level, the subject of analysis of the planning system will be the cantons, according to the high degree of autonomy they enjoy. The planning system in Sarajevo before and after the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement (today's City and Canton of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo) will be analyzed separately. Based on the performed analyzes, but also other influential factors (political, historical, administrative, institutional, etc.), an assessment of the planning system will be given and measures for its improvement will be proposed.
