The paper presents the way workflows function in graphic production and describes the components that are necessary for workflow automation. The experimental part includes the analysis of software used in prepress and based on manual or automated mode. By comparing them, a conclusion was drawn about the efficiency of introducing automation into the workflow as part of prepress.
