GENETIC ALGORITHM BASED SOLUTION FOR ECONOMIC DISPATCH PROBLEM CONSIDERING RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

The problem analyzed in this paper is economic dispatching as well as its solution through a genetic algorithm. Economic dispatching implies finding the optimal load redistribution between units in operation to achieve minimum operating costs while respecting system constraints, i.e., economic dispatching involves determining the production power of available generator units so that total operating costs in the system are minimal.
