Abstract

Highly successful results of injection molding are mainly due to its ability to produce high amount of complex parts in a relatively short time. The main objective of this study was to examine the influence of mold cooling designs in order to evaluate the qualitative and economical benefits of using an additively manufact­ured core insert.
