ASSESSMENT AND REPAIR OF THE RC STRUCTURE OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER IN KULA WITH STRENGTHENING OF THE FOUNDATION SOIL

Abstract

The paper consists of theoretical research and professional work. The theoretical research part describes the characteristics of loess soil with terrain tests and methods to improve the properties of loess soil. The professional part contains an assessment of the condition of the RC load-bearing structure of the Public Health Center in Kula. A detailed visual inspection of all structural elements and partition walls was conducted to determine the degree of damage and to make a proposal for repair works. The conclusion is that there are visible damages on the RC elements and partition walls. Based on the analysis of the registered damages and results of non-destructive test methods, the repair measures were suggested to increase the stability, durability, and usability of the structure.
