MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF TRANSFORMER WITH ZIGZAG CONNECTED WINDINGS

Abstract

This paper presents the method for modeling a power transformer with zigzag connected windings for the purpose of basic calculations in electrical power systems. In the theoretical part of the work, general equivalent schemes for Yz1, Yz5 and Yz9 connected transformers are derived, and then specific equivalent schemes for Yz5 transformer connection are derived. In the practical part of the work, verification of derived models is performed using the Load Flow calculations on simple test networks.
