EARTHQUAKE RISK ASSESMENT OF THE HYDRO-POWER-PLANT “ĐERDAP II”

Abstract

This paper presents earthquake risk assessment of the hydro-power-plant and dam “Djerdap II” including its secondary buildings located in municipality Negotin. The assessment procedure and content of the assessment are in agreement with the Instruction for the Methodology for risk assessment and protection and rescue plans. This paper gives an insight  in a dam behaviour during the release of the seismic energy as it also questions seismic safety od dams.
